The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is tailored for individuals who want to serve as a first aider in their workplace. Participants who successfully complete the course will gain the skills necessary to handle various workplace injuries and illnesses, and will be trained in providing essential emergency first aid.

Learners must be competent in speaking and understanding English.

• Placing a casualty in the recovery position

• Responding to asthma attacks
• Managing diabetes-related incidents
• Treating anaphylaxis
• Handling shock
• Treating head and spinal injuries
• Responding to chest injuries
• Managing wounds and bleeding
• Treating fractures
• Addressing sprains, strains, and dislocations
• Caring for minor injuries
• Treating burns and scalds
